2009 Calendars for sale

I have finally got around to adding 2009 Calendars in my Red Bubble site. There is a limited choice there at the moment, but keep an eye on the Calendar Section as I will be adding more in the near future.

Getting Ready

View looking over the top of the Dump Pocket to the control Panel for the Rock Breaker. The Dump Trucks dump to the right of this photo.


So the very first thing that we had to do was to clear all the rubble out of the bottom of the Dump Pocket and get ready to lift the Spider and Mantle free of the Crusher. Usually (in the photo above) the Pocket would be full of Earth and rocks from the Dump Trucks and that Rock Breaker is used to break up the larger boulders. Just out of shot at the bottom is where the crusher sits level with the bottom of the Pocket. The controls for the Rock Breaker are where the right most guy is standing. Not a great job to have, with all the dust and noise!!!


The Photo above shows the hole that goes down inside the crusher (in the middle of the Dump Pocket). Usually the barriers and yellow safety cages wouldn't be there and there would be a Spider sitting on top of the huge lifting lug at the top of the Mantle. This photo was taken looking from the Rock Breaker Controls. The spider (see below) has already been removed and we are now in the process of hooking up the Gantry Crane to lift the 80 or so Tonne of Mantle out. The Crusher extends down into the next level underground and will need to be core drilled around it's base to be removed. It's in three parts and has concave wear plates covering the inside of it. The whole lot needs to come out.

This is the Spider which sits on top of the Mantle to protect the lifting lug and help disperse the Earth and boulders evenly into the crusher.

Blogged Again :)

It's always interesting seeing where abouts my photography gets blogged and why. I was doing a bit of a search tonight and stumbled upon one of my photos blogged on the above site. :) :) What amazed me the most with this was the name of the blog *the dummy corporation blogging contemporary art in ohio and around the world*. And also the fact that they choose to use my Photo In Your House out of ALL the photos in Red Bubble!! WOW!! :) :) :)

What It's Like (Original)

This is the Original (off the camera) shot of "What It's Like" that I modded and posted on Red Bubble. You can see the Spider Webs much more clearer in this and can also see a cocoon like web in the background that I removed for the modded version. I was also going to remove the other insect that seems to be hanging onto the leaf, but left it there as it seemed to add a little depth to the overall photo. Wedgetail Eagle, Western Australia

Awwww I went out for a nice long photoshoot last weekend and had a feeling I would find my Eagles again :) :) It has been such a long time since I have seen this gorgeous couple. It was so nice to see them still together hunting. :) Such beautiful creatures :)

Valentine and other Lovely Things :)

Well, another year has past and Valentines day has been and gone once again :) This time last year was the loneliest Valentine's Day I have spent. But oh what a contrast this year was :) Finding love and now walking that walk again is such a beautiful feeling. Having something so beautiful to work towards and feeling love again in my life, makes waiting and hoping so much easier to do. :) :) Thank you darling :) I love you :) :)

I will try to get the next three sales items from the Bub up this weekend. I also want to work on a New Tee, will see how I go with that. I have so many ideas floating around in my head at the moment, I have no idea where to start. I should work on my latest Poem/song too. :) I feel the need ;)

Back to the Salt Lakes

Well I ventured out again last night in search of the perfect Sunset ;) I drove about 20km south of Kella and ended up in the middle of some saltlakes ... so, out of the car and crawling around on my belly again. :) I love getting macros of the little saltbushs .... it's really like an alien world out there when you get down and dirty, and I love some of the wonderful photos I get out of it. I uploaded one to Red Bubble tonight:

Finding your way around ;)

Okay ... I think I am slowly starting to get the hang of this :) I have added links over in the side bar to other pages within this blog. Hopefully each of those pages has the links to come back here (Or navigate to the others as well). They are pretty easy to see, they are the same as the header Photo at the top of the page, only they have what that particular page is for, ie. T-shirts. :) Hopefully it's all pretty easy to follow and understand and you don't get lost ;) Let me know what you think :) :)

Hi All :) :)

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my new Blog :) This is the first time I have really ventured into doing a blog and I have a LOT of dreams and aspirations for this. :)

First off ... I would like to Gratefully Thank Jen (TBO) for all her help in getting me started in here. :) She spent a lot of her own time sorting me out and showing me how to do stuff. As a matter of fact I would say 99% of this is her work at the moment!! So Jen ... you are an Angel and I sincerely appreciate all your help :) {{{{{{hug}}}}}}

The main purpose of this blog is to have a central point for me to show off my photography and Poety/Lyrics and any other work I want to share with others. I will have links to items I have for sale, which can be bought through Red Bubble and I hopefully will be showing how I do a lot of the work I do on my photography. Also I think I will make this blog a place where you can come and get to know the artist a little better. My head is so full of ideas at the moment and I really don't know where to start, but I am slowly getting them out and down in this blog, so keep checking back and see how far I have come :)
